2015 Art Fairs Are Now Accepting Applications

The plaza Art Fair, a juried art show set up in Country Club Plaza, in Cansas City, is one of the municipality’s time-honored traditions. In 2012 the 240 artists’ exhibitions, live music shows, and kids’ art workshops attracted close to 300,000 visitors. The annual Plaza Art Fair takes place in late September.

Thinking about participating in some art fairs this year? It’s time to stop thinking and start applying! Most art fairs have an application deadline several months before the fair takes place, so spring and summer art show deadlines are quickly approaching. So, how do you decide which art fairs are worth your time? Fine arts & crafts show held annually the 2nd Saturday in August. Outdoors. Accepts photography, all hand-made media and original artwork. Juried, as received, from photos accompanying the application. Awards: “Best of Show” receives a free booth space at next year’s event. Number of exhibitors: 90-100. Free to public. Request an application by calling or e-mailing, or download an application from the website. Deadline for entry: July 31, however, the sooner received, the better the chances of acceptance. Jury fee: $15. Space fee: $75 before May, $85 until late July, $105 thereafter. Exhibition space: 10×10 ft. Average gross sales vary.
