Start planning for spring art and craft shows

Some of my talented co-workers are holding our annual Bizarre Bazaar here at F+W Media today. This got me thinking about the holiday art and craft show season, which is now in full swing. Although it’s a bit late to take part in this year’s holiday art and craft shows if you haven’t already applied, this is the perfect time to start researching spring shows. Here are a few you might want to consider:

Accepts photography, wearable and nonwearable fiber, metal and nonmetal jewelry, clay, leather, wood, glass, painting, drawing, prints, mixed media. Juried by 5 images of work and 1 of booth, viewed sequentially. Number of exhibitors: 250. Public attendance: 14,000. Public admission: $10. Arts & crafts show held annually last Saturday in April. Outdoors. Accepts photography and crafts. We host over 160 vendors from all around North Carolina and the country. Enjoy beautiful artwork and crafts including paintings, jewelry, metal art, photography, woodwork, designs from nature and other amazing creations. Event is held in conjunction with Tour de Moore, an annual bicycle race in Moore County, and is co-sponsored by the town of Southern Pines. Public attendance: 8,000. Free to the public.
