In our continuing effort to lead the market in the education of fine art, design, and photography creators, F+W Media has launched several new websites. I have been tasked with developing a plan for the photography section. While I have a ton of ideas, I want to reach out to all of you for your suggestions and desires.
The first focus will be to help fine artists with the challenge of creating quality images of your work, and navigating the minefield of digital photography. The goals are to allow you to make great images for publications, competitions, web presentations, and your portfolios. This will presented in several sections: It will start with the gear and set up, with a limited budget in mind. Next we’ll move on to the actual photography, including tips, tricks and common mistakes to avoid. Then, once you have the image in your camera or on your computer, we will go through processing the image, fixing things that may have gone wrong in the shoot, and then creating a final file for a specific need.
Beyond this, I’m open to helping all of you with any other questions or challenges you have run into. Send me your questions and ideas soon, as I have starting the planning process for this series and will be going into production during the first quarter of 2012.
All the best to you for a great holiday season and I hope to hear from you soon.
